Memory Playlist

Music is so powerful. It's amazing how hearing a song that you haven't heard in a while can muster up the same sentiments and memories that you had when you listened to it the first 100 times. 
Today, I heard Justin Timberlake's, What Goes Around...and it took me back to my Junior days. High School. When one ear was always filled with an earbud and the other with a phone.  When the most important things in life are going over your best friend's house for the weekend and owning an Aeropostale hoody. I miss those days. 
But music hasn't lost its power. Each new song heard will just continue to fill up the storehouse of my heart and mind.

I think its the cutest thing to see the generation gap closed by one tiny delicate hand full of curiosity with another larger yet gentle hand of a wise guide.

Summer is nearing its end and I have no choice but to move along with time and the changing seasons. But it leaves me one summer closer to summer in the real life. In a world where my tears fall only because I am happy. When I can travel when and where I want to. Sleep on my porch. Have my own garden and play with my dog. When I can give big hugs to those I've lost. And spend forever never bored. Forever learning what it means to have no end. Because although forever is written in our hearts, imperfect hearts just can't understand. See, those things are all so simple, yet meaningful. Very meaningful to me. So its just one more summer closer to a Better Summer. Closer to Understanding. closer to Perfection. And thats Reality.
